Anne Rice's Nicolas

When you start doing fanart, pick characters that are so brief that you don't risk offending the author.
I wasn't going to risk tackling Lestat right off the bat, and have people laugh at me.


Contrary to the gothic image which the Vampire Chronicles present, I chose to represent Nicolas in bright, vibrant colors. After all, this is a character in Parisian theater, which is Vibrant, decadent, exagerated, and gaudy. Not to mention that Anne Rice writes these addictive run-on sentances that go off on colors vibrating with life and stuff like that.
I need to get on with reading Vittorio, Violin, Blood and Gold... everything beyond the core books. Someone find me a job where I can read while I'm there... waaah.

I made the light on out left a little warmer, and added some glint on the violin to make it look a little more polished. Just to make people happy and spam their mailboxes. Yeah.
